Clarence B. Seay, Jr., 83, passed away on January 25, 2007 in Houston. Clarence is survived by his wife, Barbara, their children and grandchildren.

Clarence was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army and has been awarded numerous medals, including the Purple Heart. He loved to tell his war stories to anyone who would listen.

He was a very active member of the Clay Road Y.M.C.A. and was always trying to raise money to support the Y.M.C.A. by selling raffle tickets for prizes, setting up senior trips to various cities in Texas, checking Bingo cards to make sure they were good, helped set up the Birthday Bash held once a month. He was involved in just about every phase of the senior activities and we miss him so very much.

Clarence and Barbara were always doing their best to make the Y.M.C.A. a place for families to go to enjoy all kinds of activities. Barbara is still with us because she knows that is what her husband would want.

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss;
Ah, yes these things, I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times,
a loved ones touch.

Perhaps my time seems all too brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

REST IN PEACE

Clarence B. Seay, Jr.
